I found a penny today just
laying on the ground,
But it's not just a penny this little coin I've found.
Found pennies come from heaven that's what my Grandpa told me,
He said Angels toss them down Oh, how I loved that story.
He said when an Angel misses you they toss a penny down,
Sometimes just to cheer you up to make a smile out of your frown.
So don't pass by that penny when you're feeling blue,
It may be a penny from heaven that an Angel's tossed to you.
Anyway
People are unreasonable, illogical and self
centered. Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway.
People really need help but may attack you if you help them. Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.

THE BED PUPPY
Now I lay me down to sleep,
the king-size bed is soft and deep.
I sleep right in the center groove
my human beings can hardly move!
I've trapped her legs, she's tucked in tight,
and here is where I pass the night
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
till morning comes and "I want food!"
I sneak up slowly to begin,
my nibbles on my human's chin.
She wakes up quickly, I have sharp teeth-
I'm a puppy, don't you see?
For the morning's here and it's time to play
I always seem to get my way.
So thank you Lord for giving me
this human person that I see
The one who hugs and holds me tight
and shares her bed with me at night! |
